Or Social Workers work alongside people and their families and carers to help them think throgh what might help them get on with their lives in the way that works best for them. We do this within the framework of or stattory Care Act reqirements. This means many of or conversations are framed as 'assessments', 'reviews', 'spport planning' and 'safegarding'. Bt or aim is always to listen and nderstand what matters to the person and then to work with them to think throgh how this might be achieved.

Abot the Team

We are looking for experienced, passionate and proactive Social Workers to join or North Essex Neighborhood team. The team operate across Colchester and form part of a Neighborhood approach, linking closely with or partners in health, hosing and volntary sector. Relationships, partnership working and commnity connections are at the heart of everything the team do.

Working with people aged 18 and above across all specialisms, the team ndertake a wide range of dties nder the Care Act 14 from assessment, reviews, mental capacity assessments and adlt safegarding.

The desired candidate will ideally live locally to the area and will have knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and the Care Act with established experienced in Adlt Social Care.

Abot the Role

As a Social Worker in or Neighborhood Team, yo will:

ndertake Care Act-compliant assessments, reviews, and spport planning.

Work with adlts with a range of needs, inclding older people, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health needs, and safegarding concerns.

Apply strengths-based and person-centred approaches to promote independence and wellbeing.

Participate in safegarding enqiries in line with Section 4 of the Care Act

Work collaboratively with health colleages, volntary sector partners, and wider MDTs.

Manage a varied caseload while maintaining professional standards and high-qality practice.

Abot Yo

We are looking for someone who:

Is a qalified and experienced Social Worker with crrent Social Work England registration.

Has worked as a qalified social worker in a local athority adlt social care Team managing a varied caseload.

Has a sond nderstanding of the Care Act 14, Mental Capacity Act, and safegarding practice.

Demonstrates strong assessment, risk management, decision-making and professional analysis skills.

Is confident working atonomosly in terms of case work planning, manging diary to ensre practice standards are maintained.

Actively contribtes to a spportive team cltre throgh sharing learning, research, and articles arond the broader environmental factors.

Is committed to critical reflective practice, learning, and continos professional development demonstrated by engagement within the team in general.

Has experience of chairing meetings.

Is able to develop strong relationships with partner agencies and the local commnity.

Keeping case recording p to date with relevant information inclding case smmaries where relevant.

Takes professional accontability and responsibility in line with Social Work England practice standards.

Or Social Worker roles involve travelling arond Essex. A driving licence and car - or the ability to meet the mobility reqirements of the role throgh other means - is essential.
