Softcat's Learning & Development team sits within a wider People & Property department consisting of People Operations, People Business Partners, Reward, Talent Acquisition, Diversity & Inclusion and Employee Engagement. The purpose of the L&D team is to champion a learning culture that empowers employees to reach their potential and drive high performance at Softcat. The L&D team plays an influential part in our business, ensuring that Softcat succeeds through our people.

About the Role:

This is a 6-9-month FTC maternity cover generalist role where you will be responsible for supporting the design and delivery of the modernisation of our early careers sales programs, as well as working across our sales departments on delivering learning solutions from analysis through to delivery.

  • Stakeholder Management - working with key sales stakeholders to understand their area's capability development needs, business priorities, and performance goals. Provide upskilling solutions and initiatives for impact. Taking a consultative approach to discovering needs uncovering the real focus areas and managing expectations.
  • Solutions Management - manage and develop new and current upskilling campaigns and structured programmes. Being responsible and taking ownership of the full lifecycle from design through to results and ensuring business impact. Taking a modern learning theory approach of multi-modalities with strong transfer of learning.
  • Coaching and Facilitation - coaching and facilitating in 1-to-1 and group settings virtually and face-to-face across upskilling initiatives, programmes and targeted campaigns. Supporting other areas of the L&D team. You will have autonomy over how much of this you want to do.
  • Partner Management - managing key partner relationships through QBRs, researching new partners, and onboarding for specific initiatives. Managing costs and ensuring impact.
  • Strategic Projects - R epresent L &D within business strategic projects acting in some cases as a representative and in others taking a leading role. Understanding the objectives and key results needed and being able to move towards the right solutions and outcomes bringing alongside the right people and process to execute effectively .

We'd love you to have:
  • Proven experience in a Learning & Development role with the ability to design and deliver impactful learning interventions for sales teams.
  • A track record of collaborating with senior stakeholders and leadership to align L&D initiatives with business priorities.
  • Ability to measure and report on the impact of learning interventions, using analytics and data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design theory and learning experience design, applying modern learning theory to create learner-centred, practical, and behaviour-driven solutions.

  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with experience delivering training both in-person and virtually.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, with a focus on delivering high-quality work on time.
  • Experience working with sales team role would be desirable.
  • UK based role but willing to travel for stakeholder meeting and facilitation within the UK.
