We're looking for a Learning & Culture Apprentice to join our Learning & Culture team here at Southern Housing!

This role will be dedicated to supporting our professional development work including, supporting other apprentices and colleague with their learning journeys, as well as working to meet our professionalisation requirements. You'll work closely with our Professional Development Manager and you'll also collaborate with many of the learning & culture team and other colleagues from across the business. Working collaboratively and One Team we'll ensure the service we offer is meeting the needs of our residents and colleagues.
The successful candidate must be willing to complete a formal business administration apprenticeship qualification while working and learning alongside colleagues in the workplace. The placement and funding to support the qualification will be provided as part of the role. T his is a 2 years Fixed Term Contract .
Successful candidates must be able to meet the required eligibility requirements for this role:
- Be aged 16 or over.
- Have the right to work in England and have been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least the previous 3 years.
- Not be enrolled on another government-funded apprenticeship or education programme at the same time.
- Be willing to dedicate time to learning and completing the apprenticeship qualification alongside the role.
- Be prepared to study English and Maths as part of the programme if you do not already hold the required qualifications.
You'll be based in our main office in Croydon, working a minimum of 2 days a week in the office, to be agreed with your line manager.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Carrying out research, gathering information and sharing findings
• Supporting with diary management, events, projects, learning and culture activities across the business
• Utilising various systems, the learning platform, the internet and various applications to support delivery of work and projects
• Responding to customer queries and providing information
What You'll Need:
• A keen eye for detail and highly organised
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft suite)
• A logical approach to tasks and ability to prioritise
• Complete focus on the customer at all times
• Passion for learning and professional development
• Willing to undertake an appropriate apprenticeship qualification and other learning activity to build skills and knowledge
• Experience of the application of learning
• Great communication skills and ability to build strong relationships
• Creativity and innovation
• Proactive with a drive to seek ways to continually improve services
• Ability and commitment to travel to all Southern Housing locations as needed
