The Council operates flexible working hours to give most employees up to Scale PO the opportunity to carry out their duties during as wide a range of working hours as possible subject to the needs of the business. You may vary your working hours to suit personal circumstances and accrue time off if you work additional hours. We also offer a variety of Flexible Working Arrangements, which enables eligible employees to apply to change the way they work to any of the following:

• Part time working
• Job sharing
• Compressed working hours – this allows you to work your total weekly hours over fewer working days.
• Home-working
• Staggered hours – this allows you to start and finish your day at different times
• Term-time only – some of our posts can accommodate term-time only working patterns.
