Wellbeing at Lloyd's

At Lloyd’s we believe in creating a healthy working environment and culture that enables positive wellbeing across the market. 

Healthy workplaces help to:

We have a dedicated Wellbeing Hub for our employees, which contains information on a holistic view on wellness and includes the four pillars physical, mental, financial and social wellbeing. We also have various internal resources for employees to refer to. Additionally, we have formed external partnerships to help our employees have access to more resources, including access to the Headspace app.  

Wellbeing is included in our Total Rewards Package.

 

Health and Wellbeing Benefits at Lloyd's Include

Medical examinations

All employees are eligible for biennial medical examinations at Lloyd’s cost. These health assessments are confidential and off-site, giving you invaluable support for your own wellbeing.

Short-term sickness payments

We provide enhanced sick pay on a discretionary basis to employees unable to work due to illness or injury.

Competitive corporate gym membership

We have competitive offerings with gyms local to our offices. It is also possible to select gym membership through our flexible benefits offering at a competitive cost.

Annual programme of Health & Wellbeing events

Your health and wellbeing is important to us and we provide a calendar of wellbeing events covering a wide variety of topics to help you improve your health and wellbeing. This includes seminars, e-learning and interactive sessions on a wide range of wellbeing topics.

Flexible Working

We understand that working 9 to 5 doesn’t suit everybody all the time. We value the diversity in experiences, perspectives and approaches of all our colleagues and so if it can work for you, and work for us, then we are fully supportive of flexible working.

Emergency Leave

We all encounter occasional challenges in our domestic lives, and you can take up to 5 days paid leave a year to deal with any emergencies that arise, whether family-related or not

Sabbaticals

Once you've worked for Lloyd's for five years, you'll get the opportunity to enjoy one month paid leave for sabbaticals of 2–12 months. You will be able to enjoy this benefit once in each five-year period of your service with Lloyd’s.
