Volunteering & Charity Work at DWP

DWP actively supports volunteering and is committed to bringing real benefits to the local community, but we’re also keen to support our colleagues’ personal development.

We understand that through volunteering, our colleagues gain:

• An opportunity to act on an issue they care about
• Insight into the lives of our customers and the communities we serve
• A rewarding experience
• Pride from making a difference

The organisations our colleagues support gain:

• Help to carry out their work
• Skills and knowledge you share
• Perspective and new ideas
• To develop long-term partnerships with DWP

Our colleagues may be allowed paid time off for public service duties, for example to be a Magistrate, or to provide voluntary services to the local community.
