Pride Network at Hachette UK

The Pride Network supports our LGBTQIA+ colleagues by helping to ensure that our publishing represents and reaches LGBTQIA+ people of all backgrounds.

The first annual Pride in Writing was hosted in 2019 at Waterstones Piccadilly and featured 10 amazing authors.

Trans Awareness Week is a good opportunity to showcase some of our brilliant trans and non-binary authors

To mark the publication of Mad Honey by Jodi Picoult and Jennifer Finney Boylan, the authors visited Hachette’s London office.

Hachette’s Pride and Thrive Employee Networks collaborated on a stand at UK Black Pride at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in August 2022 selling books and raising funds to be donated to art charity Wise Thoughts and Manchester based African Rainbow Family, both of which support queer people of colour. Hachette UK matched the donation.

National Coming Out Day 2021 was celebrated with free books, tote bags (it is publishing after all), badges, flags and flyers in Carmelite House.
