Pregnancy Loss at Camden Council

At Camden, we recognise the importance of supporting staff wellbeing and want to extend our support to staff who have experienced pregnancy loss to make sure they have the valuable time they may need.

For many people, pregnancy loss can be an unhappy, lonely and distressing experience with long-lasting effects. To support those affected, staff are now entitled to up to an additional 10 days leave if they experience pregnancy loss. This applies to all staff that experience pregnancy loss – whether you’re the person physically experiencing the loss, the partner or an intended parent in a surrogacy arrangement.

Our commitment to pregnancy loss leave aims to ensure that our staff feel supported and are not disadvantaged for taking additional time off. It also outlines the support available – which includes miscarriage support services, internal and wellbeing support and advice that may be useful, should you need it.
