Inclusion Networks at HS2

HS2 is interested in establishing a number of inclusion networks to further our EDI work and help us to become a more inclusive employer. An employee network allows those interested in various aspects of equality, diversity & inclusion to participate to the development of EDI within the organisation.

 

HS2

 

The objective of the HS2 Staff Diversity Networks EDI is to:

  • Promote activities which support the HS2 EDI policy
  • To provide feedback on consultation processes and HS2 policies
  • To encourage engagement with EDI across all functions of HS2 Ltd.
  • To deliver activities aligned to the key goals of the HS2 EDI strategy
  • To provide support to staff groups within HS2​​​​​​​

 

HS2 has seven staff networks, which aim to:

  • Onboard – Increase awareness and promote inclusion of LGBTQ+ people, challenging homophobia, biphobia and transphobia.
  • Gender Balance Network – support activities to encourage gender balance in our industries, as well as encouraging awareness of inclusive behaviours for all genders 
  • HS2 2gether – promote inclusion of disabled people and those experiencing barriers in relation to long term conditions or disability through accessibility and awareness.  
  • REACH Network – support the inclusion of ethnic minority staff through awareness-raising activities and initiatives 
  • Early Careers Network - promote activities geared towards the inclusion of all our people regardless of age, and support graduates and apprentices through their time at HS2
  • Armed Forces Support Network - support and provide opportunities for veterans and Forces volunteers within HS2  
  • Personal Development Network - dedicated to continued development for all HS2 staff
