Gender Equality & Identity at Teneo

Achieving gender equality at Teneo is an aim in all areas of the business. Due to the systematic nature of entrenched inequalities, we have taken a data-based approach to identifying challenges our women face and have created tailored initiatives that support and advance the women in our businesses:

  • Teneo offer a cross division women’s mentoring scheme
  • We offer specific L&D initiatives for women such as the women’s development programme, launching this year
  • Our parental leave enhances statutory pay for all parents and our approach to reproductive health, for example pregnancy loss, ensures equitable support to anyone experiencing this regardless of gender

We take an intersectional approach to wellbeing in the workplace, and we are about to publish more information about our menopause policy.

Our Gender ERG is open to all colleagues and aims to foster a culture of belonging, respect and recognition. They promote gender balance by raising awareness to issues that impact women, such as women’s safety, and men, such as our parental leave policy.

Recently, a group of male allies in the business, in collaboration with the Gender ERG, designed and piloted a male allyship training which was attended by both leaders and less senior staff across the business. This has sparked a conversation around the need to continue the discussion with men.
