Diverse Associate Conference at Reed Smith US

In May 2015, Reed Smith held a conference for senior and mid-level diverse associates.

The conference agenda included candid discussions with senior management about the firm’s D&I Initiative and promotion/retention issues of diverse associates; a panel presentation by diverse partners regarding successful paths to partnership; a half-day, interactive workshop with a diversity consultant who worked with the associates on the implementation of key leadership strategies to employ to advance their careers; and a town hall meeting during which the associates were able to share with the D&I Initiative leadership ways in which the Initiative can continue to recruit, retain, and promote diverse talent.

The Initiative will continue to host similar meetings for all diverse attorneys, including counsel and partners.
