BBC Pride Network

BBC Pride brings together people of all sexualities working at, or in partnership with, the BBC. We provide support, advice and friendship to members and open up channels of communication both at work and socially. The network holds events and socials that bring the group together across the BBC.

As BBC Pride we exist to: 

• Provide regular socials where employees can gather in an informal setting and meet colleagues from across the BBC
• Put on a number of different events throughout the year to engage and develop our diverse network of members
• Highlight the concerns of our members and make sure their concerns reach the right person, department or steering group within the BBC
• Offer editorial teams, whenever requested, our guidance in the portrayal of LGBTQ+ people on TV, radio and online
• Work closely with the Diversity and Inclusion team to ensure that our workforce is as diverse as our audience
• Raise awareness of upcoming LGBTQ+ related content across the BBC
• Represent BBC Pride members and all LGBTQ+ people on initiatives to improve diversity amongst staff and content produced for our license fee payers
