Armed Forces Community Covenant at Camden Council

On 28 June 2013 Camden Council and key partners signed an Armed Forces Community Covenant to show support for the armed forces staff, their families and veterans in Camden. This Community Covenant encourages residents to support the Armed Forces Community in Camden.

It also helps to raise awareness of issues affecting those in the Forces and their families and complim ents the national Armed Forces Covenant, which sets out the moral obligation between the UK, the Government and the Armed Forces.

Ministry of Defence describe it as "Community covenants complement, at a local level, the Armed Forces Covenant, which outlines the moral obligation between the nation, the government and the armed forces. It encourages local communities to support the armed forces community in their area and promote understanding and awareness among the public of issues affecting the armed forces community."
