Skip to main contentOur Youth Council
Our partnership with The Youth Group aims to help us understand how we can best support young people currently out of work. Our Youth Council is a 10-person strong team which includes three of our younger employees and seven external people, all aged 16-26. With the invaluable support of The Youth Group, they’ll meet quarterly over a defined 12 month period, to discuss youth-related business issues and develop their own skills and potential. We believe that great ideas can come from everyone. As we transform as a business, and with innovation and disruption sitting at the heart of everything we do, the Youth Council will empower young people to influence and impact our thinking. With their guidance, we’ll be able to offer more effective support to young people, and give them a strong start in the working world.
Teach First
Young people are the future leaders of our organisation. As part of our responsible business strategy, we have a commitment to drive social mobility and help young people progress towards the world of work. To support this, we partnered with Teach First to develop an exciting, comprehensive work experience programme for students who would not normally have access to this type of opportunity through their own networks.
Kickstart scheme
As part of our wholehearted commitment to support young people in, and into work, we’re offering six-month placements for people aged 16-24 years old, as part of the Government’s Kickstart Scheme. We’re passionate about supporting young people with real employment opportunities, particularly those from disadvantaged or diverse backgrounds and we’re proud to be giving them the chance to build their confidence and skills in the workplace. Through hands on, immersive work, they’ll gain experience that will improve their chances of going on to find long-term, meaningful work and be supported every step of the way.
