With stressful everyday lives and increasing pressures in work, the wellbeing of employees has to be a priority for an organisation to be successful. This workshop will give you the tools to be able to deal with mental health confidently, and support colleagues and managers in your organisation in understanding how mental health can affect people; and ways to support those people in a way that is best for both the employee and the organisation as a whole. Your host and trainer Bela Gor is a lawyer with over twenty years experience of working in disability, first at the Disability Law Service and later at Business Disability Forum where she provides practical advice to a variety of sectors of business on all aspects of disability at work, She is the author of best practice guidance for line managers and legal updates for HR managers including on mental health in the workplace. Bela’s experience of writing guidance and providing training and consultancy to business on mental health, ranging from managing serious situations at work to ensuring the wellbeing of staff means you will get practical advice and come away from the workshop with the confidence to deal with the rising issue of mental health at work.
