How we’re creating a diverse teaching workforce
Growing the percentage of our participants from priority areas such as STEM, BAME and males is an organisational priority as part of our 2015-19 strategy. As such, we have created a diversity governance structure to ensure that we have awareness, buy-in and accountability for diversity at all levels. Colleagues from every level of the organisation have an understanding of our diversity strategy and progress towards achieving our vision.
Our recruiters undergo training on unconscious bias, provided by specialist Rare Recruitment, and on inclusion. We are also committed to ensuring our selection process is an inclusive experience for all candidates.
