Ofcom is the UK’s communications regulator.

We make sure people get the best from their home phone and mobile services, as well as keeping an eye on TV, radio and on-demand content. We also ensure consumers don’t get scammed and are protected from bad practice.

In addition to this, we oversee the postal service and the airwaves used by wireless devices.

Right now, technology is changing how people work, interact and enjoy themselves. Much of our work is focused in making sure everybody has access to the communications technology they need.

It’s an exciting time to be at the heart of this fast-moving sector. You can be part of it. Find out more about working for Ofcom.

More about Ofcom

At Ofcom we are determined to do all we can to promote diversity and equality inside our organisation and in the wider sectors we regulate.

Our Values

Diversity and equality is fundamental to Ofcom achieving its organisational purpose of making communications work for everyone. To help us with our work in promoting choice, securing standards and preventing harm, we need to make the best decisions for all UK consumers and citizens.

To do this, it is essential that all levels of our organisation are diverse and foster an inclusive culture.

We will achieve this by adopting our values:

We believe that promoting the principles and practices of diversity and inclusion is essential to us as an organisation.

Our hiring managers and people managers have been trained on the reasons for and impacts of unconscious bias as well as how to counter these biases.

We have used this as a platform to develop inclusive recruitment practices and training for recruiting colleagues.

We also offer online unconscious bias training.

All colleagues who join Ofcom must complete our online Diversity and Inclusion training.

Ofcom’s consultation on our Diversity and Inclusion Programme 2018-2022 is available to view here.

If you think that you might face a barrier to fully participating in any aspect of the application process caused by disability or other impairment or health condition, please contact recruitment@ofcom.org.uk or call us on 020 7783 4050.

We suggest that you also add postal address details and Textphone details.
