HM Land Registry

About us

Our people are our most valuable asset and everyone at HM Land Registry should feel that they can be themselves at work, valued for the unique perspective they bring, and able to go as far as their talents will take them.

Our inclusive culture is welcoming, respectful, engaging, and enriched with opportunities for personal and professional development. It gives colleagues a voice and supports open conversations, challenge, and discussion, underpinned by the principles of implicit professional respect, mutual trust, and the importance of the wellbeing of all.

Our thriving employee diversity networks play an important role in helping us to listen to those voices; improving our understanding and working with us on issues that are important to our people and our business. We currently have six networks;

  • Disabled Employee Network (DEN)
  • Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) Network
  • Assured (employee network for sexual orientation and gender identity)
  • Women’s Network
  • The Age Network
  • Faith and Belief Network

We recognise that we must continually update our approaches to diversity and inclusion to truly reflect the society within which we work, and our new Diversity and Inclusion Strategy (2021-24) commits us to creating new networks for Carers and for Socio Economic Background.

Each network has a senior sponsor at Board level, giving them the opportunity to influence policy and practice right to the very top of our organisation.

We aim to provide equal opportunities in employment and advancement for everyone. We are a Disability Confident Leader and we offer a guaranteed interview scheme (GIS) for candidates with disabilities who meet the minimum selection criteria.
