Orwell Housing Association

Orwell Housing Association

Orwell Housing Association was formed in 1963 in Ipswich, employing no staff and managing only a handful of properties. Today, Orwell owns or manages over 4,300 homes, providing safe and secure accommodation to more than 8,200 people across 12 local authority areas. We employ around 800 people across the region and provide housing, care and support services with customers at the heart.

Our largest office is based in Ipswich but we have bases of work around Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire.

Our mission is to make a positive difference to the quality of life and future opportunities of our customers, employees and communities.

At Orwell, we are people-focused, ambitious, collaborative and effective. We want you to love the work you do and feel proud of the difference you make every day.

We welcome people from all backgrounds – whether you bring years of industry experience, formal qualifications, or you’re just beginning your career journey. What matters most to us is who you are and the values you bring.
