Zurich Launch Global LGBT Network

Pride@Zurich, an employee resource group, has launched to create an alliance of our lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) networks in seven countries.

Pride@Zurich will provide a safe environment for employees to discuss LGBT topics, connect with other LGBT employees and colleagues, share inspirational ideas and foster LGBT awareness in communities where we live and work.

Chief Investment Officer, Urban Angehrn, serves as executive sponsor of Pride@Zurich. “I’m committed to Zurich's diversity and inclusion agenda and firmly believe that neither your sexual orientation nor gender identity should hold you back at work,” he said.  “As an organization we have a responsibility to create an inclusive, respectful and safe space for all of our colleagues no matter their experience or background and to stamp out harassment in all forms. That’s why Pride@Zurich is an important next step for Zurich, and I encourage you all to embrace the network.”

It’s no coincidence that Pride@Zurich launched just before Human Rights Day on December 10th. This year Human Rights Day is about standing up for someone’s rights whether they are a refugee or migrant, a person with disabilities, an LGBT person, woman or member of a minority group.
