Women at HS2; Rosamund - Head of Health & Safety
Category: Gender (Equality & Identity)
My job is to make sure that the work involved in building the high speed railway is done in a safe and healthy way, so that workers do not get hurt or become ill. I focus on the middle part of the route between London and Birmingham. I was born 25 miles away from Birmingham, in Nuneaton, and still live near there in a village called Burbage.
It’s good to be working back near home after my last job, which took me all over the country and as far away as Norway, Poland and Switzerland. Guess how I travel into work? By train! But my favourite form of transport by far is riding my horse, Bo. He is very handsome, with 3 white socks and a big white blaze.
