Employee recognition

Our company-wide recognition program allows teammates to recognize each other and celebrate career milestones. Teammates can give or receive immediate appreciation for great work and living our values.

“Shortly after joining Thomson Reuters, I had the privilege of co-leading an internal consulting project. Given my newness to the organization and the fact that I had just completed my bachelor’s studies, I was understandably unsure about how my work would be perceived. To my surprise, a few days later, I received a thoughtful gift from our employee recognition program. To me, this gesture served as a tangible reminder that my contributions were not only recognized but also appreciated. This kind of work environment is incredibly motivating and fosters a culture of gratitude, allowing us to acknowledge and celebrate the exceptional efforts of our colleagues.” -Juna, Senior Analyst, Corporate Strategy, Switzerland

Mental Health Days off

We have two annual company-wide Mental Health Days off, that take place in May and October. This means that we disconnect as an organization so together, we can step away from work, pause, and focus on what we need most to fuel our mental health and wellbeing.

“This past Friday, all employees had the opportunity to take a day off to nurture our wellbeing. With my favorite notebook in hand, I embraced the luxury of sleeping in, savoring a big cup of coffee, and pouring my thoughts onto paper. It was a day of personal reflection and growth – only myself, a beautiful sunny morning, and my ideas at home.” -Raul, Sr Employer Branding Specialist, Mexico

Mindful Leadership Training

This interactive learning for people leaders focuses on fostering a mentally healthy workplace, including how to have conversations about mental health and knowing where to go for resources. All people leaders at Thomson Reuters have access to this course.

“The beginning of my mental health journey began suddenly and was a surprise to my co-workers, family, and friends alike. Thomson Reuters helped my family and me through the entire process. I saw firsthand that Thomson Reuters places a high importance on the well-being of its employees, both in terms of physical and mental health. When I returned from seeking care, my managers showed me compassion and empowered me to get back into a productive routine. That meant a lot to me then, and it still does now.” -Ryan, Senior Software Engineer, United States

Mental Health Resources

We encourage personal health and happiness through resources and benefits focusing on mental and emotional wellbeing, including mindfulness and meditation practices proven to reduce stress and improve focus.

“The two annual Thomson Reuters Mental Health Days Off have been instrumental in allowing me to prioritize both my physical and mental wellbeing. Taking time off for activities such as cycling has proven to be rejuvenating and has contributed significantly to my overall health. Moreover, the access to effective meditation and mindfulness coaching has been a tremendous support. I am grateful for the resources and initiatives Thomson Reuters has in place to care for the wellbeing of its employees.” -Mayo, Senior Business Development Manager, Japan
