Taking place at the Battersea Evolution in London, the Sport Industry Awards celebrate the immense work done around our sector, from delivering world-leading events to using sport as a platform to drive social change.
And the FA was represented on stage at the event on three occasions, with our Let Girls Play campaign and the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 taking home prestigious awards at the star-studded event while there was special recognition for Baroness Sue Campbell too.
The first title came in the Tessa Jowell Community Award for Let Girls Play, which saw a campaign to give equal access to football for all girls as part of the school curriculum and in local communities across England. Among the nominees were campaigns from Saracens, Speedo, LFC Foundation, Shelter and British Gymnastics.

Supported by Barclays with their Girls’ Football School Partnerships, people could support the campaign whether that was by social media, posters and letters to schools while free resources and training opportunities were available for teachers to learn how they could bring girls’ football into their schools.
Baroness Sue Campbell, was next on stage as the deserving recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award. Celebrating her 50-year career and tireless work to increase opportunities for women and girls in sport, our director of women's football was presented with the award by former England star Jill Scott and Olympian Denise Lewis.
