Taylor Wimpey: Supporting Mental Health Awareness

Category: Wellbeing (Financial/Mental/Physical)

Mental Health

To mark Movember, Taylor Wimpey is supporting mental health awareness by encouraging colleagues participation in ‘It’s OK to talk’ seminar  and Graduate Million Makers 3-Peaks Challenge Fundraiser

Andy's Man Club

Andy's Man Club - Mental Health Awareness

Andy's Man Club hosted by Kenny is a Men's Suicide Prevention Charity, working to provide safe spaces for men to gather and talk. The webinar will cover what Andy's Man Club does, why they offer the help they do and how they can help.

Taylor Wimpey's Graduates

The TW Graduate Cohort, comprised of two teams, are currently taking part in the Million Makers Project to raise money for the Prince's Trust. Team Collective's initiative focuses around wellbeing-themed hi-vis vests, which promote awareness around mental health by displaying the Lighthouse Charity helpline.

Alongside our hi-vis vests, we have also organised webinars which aim to raise awareness of two key pillars of employee wellbeing: a Mental health and emotional wellbeing session delivered by Andy's Man Club, and two sessions on Financial wellbeing delivered by Nathan Gunn and Molly Banham, which is often an overlooked area of wellbeing.

About Taylor Wimpey:

We are one of the largest residential developers in the UK, with operations also in Spain.

We build attractive and sustainable homes and communities, with a wide range of properties, from one-bedroom apartments to five-bedroom houses. Being a successful homebuilder means we do so much more than build homes. We provide high-quality places to live with appropriate facilities, an attractive environment and a sense of place. We also add social, economic and environmental value to the wider communities in which we operate. We are experts in land acquisition, home and community design, urban regeneration and the development of supporting infrastructure.

If you thought the building industry was all about hard hats and hi-vis jackets – think again. Our doors are open to everyone, from new starters to career changers and returners, on-site and off. We’re looking for bright, enthusiastic people from all backgrounds to join our diverse, inclusive and collaborative teams. We don’t just build houses here, we build careers.

We want all of our people to strike the work-life balance that’s right for them. Our working environment should suit the individual and our benefit options broad enough to cater for all.
