Staff from across City College Norwich came together in April to complete the Norfolk Coastal Walk Challenge. This saw them walk 60 miles, over 3 days, around the North Norfolk coastline to raise money for the college’s Student Opportunities Fund.
Inspired by the success of the CCN three-peaks challenge that took place in 2014, the team decided that they wanted to take on something that was challenging but fun and accessible to all.
Despite the aches and pains, the team thoroughly enjoyed some spectacular Norfolk vistas, beautiful sunsets and picturesque villages.
But most importantly, the group at all stages of the challenge came together and enjoyed some tremendous camaraderie and shared experiences with brilliant colleagues.
The £1,500+ that was raised will help students at the college facing financial hardship.
City College Norwich’s Sport Maker, Nick Bond, who led the team, said:
“We are really pleased with the amount we have raised for the Student Opportunities Fund and are proud to have continued a legacy of staff challenges that will help students for many years to come.”
