Case study: University of Birmingham
Working with the University of Birmingham, Siemens is helping make its Edgbaston and Dubai campuses among the smartest and most intelligent net-zero campuses in the world. This partnership addresses infrastructure, research, teaching, and focuses on digital transformation. It requires collaboration between a diverse range of fields such as energy, carbon emissions reduction, transport, big data, and Internet of Things (IoT). The project includes the largest rollout of IoT technology at any university campus worldwide. It uses data to improve energy efficiency and contribute to research into how more campuses – and even cities – can reach net zero.
