Grosvenor Celebrates International Wild Salmon Day
Category: Social Responsibility (Charity/ Volunteering/Environmentalism)

Grosvenor marks International Wild Salmon Day, a global initiative uniting organisations to champion cold, clean water and thriving ecosystems.
At their Reay Forest Estate in the Scottish Highlands, they're working with the Atlantic Salmon Trust to deliver Project Laxford, a 10-year, catchment-scale conservation project. Spanning 118km² - an area the size of urban Manchester - the initiative aims to restore natural habitats, plant up to one million trees, and create the conditions wild Atlantic salmon and other species need to flourish.
The Project Laxford team recently completed its annual smolt count, tracking the spring migration of juvenile salmon - a key indicator of river health and resilience. By deepening our understanding of salmon populations and the impact of targeted interventions, we’re helping to restore this iconic species and the ecosystems they rely on.
