To mark Royal Mail’s recent success in having our Silver Defence Recognition award renewed, a short ceremony was held at Victoria Embankment in London on Thursday 15 March.
Group HR director Jon Millidge was formally presented with the award by senior national account managers, Mark Richards and Nat Hayes, from Defence Relationship Management, Ministry of Defence.
Also in attendance were reservists, Colonel Steve Rayson from Army Headquarters, and Sergeant Sarah Khan and Corporal Paul Akinrinlude from 162 Regiment, 871 Postal & Courier Squadron RLC.
Director of HR Services, Anne Turrell said: ‘Royal Mail has a long and proud association with the Forces and we are delighted to receive the Silver Defence Recognition Award.
‘This prestigious award recognises employers who not only actively encourage the employment of ex-forces, forces spouses and reservists, but also seek to encourage and inspire other organisations to do the same.’
