Respecting Multiculturalism at Howden Group Holdings

October is Black History Month in the UK and the theme for this year is ‘Time for Change: Action Not Words’. To mark the occasion, we will be hosting events and showcasing the amazing talent we have around the business.

But first, we thought we’d highlight some of the workplace practices we are embedding to make Howden group a more inclusive place to work. These include blind CV’s, software that eliminates bias from our job advertisements and partnering with our ‘Respect Multiculturalism’ Employee Resource Group to raise awareness of the challenges and celebrate the successes of the communities it represents. We also work with The Prince's Trust and LIIBA - London & International Insurance Brokers’ Association to support young people from underrepresented communities through education, enterprise and provide employment opportunities.

This is the perfect time to introduce our new Group Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Manager, Vusa Tebe. Vusa will help to shape and deliver our Group D&I strategy, working with colleagues across the business to champion DE&I innovation, change and action. Vusa will help us to attract and retain the best talent by strengthening the inclusive processes and policies across our business.
