The Millennial Dad at Work
Daddilife, the parenting website for dads, recently published a fascinating report, The Millennial Dad at Work https://lnkd.in/gkWDTby. The study interviewed more than 2,000 working dads aged 24-40 – and guess what? It discovered that dads want to spend more time with their children, but workplace cultures can sometimes stop them in their tracks. Work/life balance is a big deal to us at Aviva – and it’s one of the reasons why we introduced equal parental leave in November 2017, to allow dads to spend more time with their families when a new child arrives. Global Inclusion Partner, Mark Jones, took six months of paid leave when his twin boys came along last year. He spoke to Daddilife about his experiences and told them: “Being at home through the first, formative months of my children’s lives enabled us to bond together.
