National Inclusion Week within the Ministry of Defence

National Inclusion Week is a national initiative dedicated to celebrating inclusion and taking action to create inclusive workplaces. Diversity and Inclusion is vital to organisational success and is a key commitment within defence as a whole. This year’s inclusion week will run from the 25th to 1st October with a wide range of interesting events being put on across defence to celebrate and educate on the importance of diversity and inclusion and to reaffirm our commitment to diversity and inclusion within the Ministry of Defence.

From live panels with speakers representing LGBT+, Disability, Race and Faith communities talking about their lived experiences; sessions around mentoring and developing future leaders as well as sessions on how to be an ally and the value of allyship within diversity and inclusion. There will also be talks on various topics as to how the organisation can be more inclusive in our practices, including the power of language; and adjusting the business not the person, and an inclusion special Quiz to encourage learning and networking between colleagues.
