Hi, I’m Rosie and I currently work in Army Headquarters as part of the Policy and Secretariat team, supporting Ministers and Parliament by providing information about the Army’s work. I joined the MOD in 2016, having spent some time on the Civil Service Graduate Scheme, and since then have had a range of really interesting jobs in the MOD, both in Whitehall and also overseas.
I’ve found the MOD a really welcoming department and given my spouse serves in the Army, I also find working in Army Headquarters really flexible for military family life. I’m able to balance supporting him with work, and the Headquarters are supportive of spouses working, even when military postings sometimes mean we change locations at short notice.
I’ve been lucky enough recently to be selected for the Future Leaders Scheme and so am looking forward to continuing my journey to become a Future Leader in Defence.
