Grosvenor's UK Property business’ Residential & Investment team recently rolled up their sleeves to rejuvenate an underused garden space in the heart of Mayfair.

The team recognised the potential of the shared garden at Clarendon Flats on Balderton Street - part of our residential portfolio and home to both private and affordable rental homes - and saw an opportunity to create a green and inclusive space, particularly for older residents who may find it difficult to travel far.

In partnership with Groundwork London, and with a hand from colleagues at Flex by Grosvenor, the team spent the day transforming the space. Living walls now offer privacy from the surrounding streets, native plants and herbs bring colour and scent, and new benches invite residents to pause and connect. A wisteria tree, previously struggling under ivy, was carefully rescued and has already begun to flower.

Thank you to everyone who gave their time and energy to bring this space back to life - and a special thank you to Victoria Austin for leading on the transformation. A great example of how small changes can make a big difference to our residential spaces and the wellbeing of our tenants.
