A little about my role

It's my job to oversee all of LW Theatres' learning and development efforts; from essential compliance training for the technical teams at our six West End venues, to customer service training for our brilliant front-of-house teams, and leadership and development training for our teams at Head Office. I lead workshops and other training offerings to ensure our people get the most out of their time with us. It’s my job to encourage our people to think about their personal development and motivate them to achieve excellent performance. I also work with the HR team to deliver our grass roots initiatives; work experience, apprenticeships and outreach work.

Our learning provisions at LW Theatre

At LW Theatres, we invest in our people’s development and strive to provide an inclusive environment that inspires and rewards. The training we provide - including British Sign Language, Mental Health First Aid, and Inclusion at Work among many, many others - reinforces our internal policies and procedures and ultimately enhances the service we provide our customers. We’re big on personal development and we endeavour to support our people in obtaining professional qualifications where we can.

Our plans for 2023

We're so excited to be launching a new and improved version of Take the Leading Role, our internal management development program. It aims to create a dynamic group of LW Theatres leaders that are inspired, motivated and capable of leading their areas of the business, backed up with the appropriate contemporary management skills. 2023 will also see the relaunch of our work experience programme, delivered in partnership with the ALW Foundation as well as the launch of a technical apprenticeship. Having endured a difficult few years of survival and consolidation, now is the time to look forward, to secure and safeguard the industry's future.
