Lloyds Banking Group are encouraging colleagues to disclose their mental health problem at work
Declaring a long term mental health condition as a disability can make a huge difference to an individual’s working life as they will be legally entitled to reasonable adjustments under the Equality Act 2010. As part of Lloyds Banking Group’s ongoing commitment to supporting those with disabilities in the workforce, they have created a series of videos for International Day of People with Disabilities on 3 December. These videos are designed to increase awareness of disability whilst sharing the stories of positive role models within the organisation. They also aim to instil confidence in line managers to actively address concerns about team members’ mental health and the benefits intervening early can reap.
