This year, ITV’s This Morning, Good Morning Britain and their Regional News teams advocated three award categories. The ITV Fundraiser of the Year Award was won by eight year old Rhea Kara who painted 100 paintings in 100 days to raise money for Reverse Rett, a charity that works to expediate treatment and find a cure for Rett syndrome. London’s Air Ambulance Crew came away with the This Morning Emergency Services Award for saving the life of a cyclist minutes away from death by performing an uncommon and complicated heart procedure by the roadside. Ben Smith ran 401 marathons in 401 consecutive days around the country to raise money for anti-bullying charities Stonewall and Kidscape and won the ITV News Fundraiser of the Year Award.
