Thank you to our Balance and Origins Communities for organising a fantastic range of International Women’s Day 2023 events for our people!
It was great to see all of the pledges flooding in and revisit progress on last year’s pledges, as we all consider our commitment to #EmbraceEquity, but the greatest change comes from our collective action:
- Maiko Adachi went behind the scenes of our $10m investment in the Anthemis Group Female Innovators Lab, to explore how innovation and technology can drive gender equality with Katie Palencsar and Ant Barker.
- Sara Groves arranged a ‘part time not part @rsed' panel hosted by Danielle Harmer, to debunk myths and discuss more flexible ways of working with three great role models, Carolyn Bartlett, Babita Devi and Kelly Keating.
- Gavin Holmes brought us a live chat from our Sheffield office, as we grabbed a cuppa and talked all things ‘Equi-tea’, organised by roxanna kiarass, with Skydi, Roda, Tracy and Kenishia, as they discussed social mobility, race, religion, gender identities and sexuality.
- Anna D. interviewed award-winning podcaster, writer and activist, Sangeeta Pillai, to tackle taboos and stereotypes, taking live questions from colleagues on feminism in the workplace.
- Our friends from Wellity, Simon Scott-Nelson and Sadie Restorick, closed our events with a powerful yet sensitive session, helping us to rethink what it means to be a successful woman.
