Building belonging together: National Inclusion Week at VodafoneThree
Category: Gender (Equality & Identity), Race, Ethnicity & Heritage
National Inclusion Week brought colleagues across VodafoneThree together to connect, learn and celebrate what makes each of us unique.

HR Director, Katrin Jacke
Our HR Director, Katrin Jacke, shared in her recent article, Why VodafoneThree keeps inclusion, purpose and belonging at the heart of company culture, ‘’inclusion is more than a buzzword or initiative. Alongside our purpose of connecting every community, it helps us ensure our employees have a strong sense of belonging when they come to work.’’
Throughout the week, colleagues listened, learned and strengthened our sense of belonging
Starting with our first Inclusion Summit
We began inclusion week with VodafoneThree’s inaugural Inclusion Summit, bringing together employee network committee members and senior leaders. It was a valuable opportunity to celebrate progress, build new connections and share ideas for working together with greater impact.
Katrin commented ‘’ The event was born out of a desire to recognise their commitment and to celebrate the progress we have made in just over 12 months of being VodafoneThree, while setting out a plan for future priorities in this space.’’
The event provided opportunities for VodafoneThree colleagues to connect and explore themes such as intersectionality and allyship.
Changing the game through sport
Our Changing the Game: Inclusion, Identity and Belonging in Sport panel brought athletes and advocates together to share honest stories about identity, barriers and allyship.
Welsh rugby internationals Alisha Joyce and Jaz Joyce were joined on the panel by VodafoneThree colleagues, amateur boxer Dan Chetty, plus Ella Slade, President of the London Royals Hockey Club. Their stories reminded us that true inclusion means helping everyone take part, be heard and feel valued.
Creating space for meaningful conversation
Our intersectional Safe Space session, Supporting each other in challenging times, created a welcoming place and generated an open and honest discussion for network members and allies to listen, learn and reflect. Led by our Multiculture at VodafoneThree network, the conversation explored what everyday allyship can look like and how we can help one another feel safe and included.
Inclusion beyond one week
Inclusion does not begin or end with one week. Throughout the year, our employee networks create opportunities for colleagues and allies to connect, learn and help shape change across VodafoneThree.
We are proud of everyone who shared their story, organised an event or joined the conversation. Their warmth and openness showed how small actions can build a stronger sense of belonging.
