One hundred and twenty nine employers participated in the 2022 Employer Audit Scheme to gain Gold, Silver or Bronze membership of The Club, and just 12 received awards for demonstrating outstanding performance in specified categories.
Criteria of Gold membership of the scheme is to achieve at least 5% of the workforce on ‘earn and learn’ programmes (this including apprentices, sponsored students and graduates on formalised training schemes). Being a member of the 5% club demonstrates HS2’s commitment to investment in skills development and the provision of opportunities to learn and grow.
HS2 was also recognised as having demonstrated the greatest commitment to the inclusion and social mobility of those participants on our workplace learning schemes. This commitment to development is helping the next generation of engineers, project managers and innovators to support the design and delivery of the new high-speed railway, bringing innovative ideas, new ways of working and contributing to a lasting legacy in the UK.
