A facilities manager looks after a company’s work environment, the maintenance of its building and grounds and the safety of its staff. Facilities management roles often take on security as a key part of their remit.
Security managers are charged with identifying their company’s assets and putting a plan in place to safeguard those assets. This might include the company’s people, ideas, IT systems or physical environment.

Salaries in facilities management and security management
Depending on the level of seniority or specialism, salaries range from £22,297 to £45,056 for facilities managers and £22,934 - £59,054 for security managers. The average pay is £31,200 for a facilities manager and £33,007 for a security manager.
