Eversheds has been awarded ‘Visionary Firm of the Year – Legal Services’ at the In-House Community Counsel of the Year Awards.
The awards, held at the Hong Kong Jockey Club, bring together the crème de la crème of Asia’s legal industry to celebrate achievements across a range of categories, including innovation, equality and diversity, banking, financial services, transactional, corporate responsibility and technology.
Out of those who had made submissions for the category, judges praised Eversheds for being the only firm, ‘to have consistently embraced the reality about the connection between legal budgets and the risk taking partnerships that is necessary between a global in-house team and its external lawyers’.
Other firms shortlisted for the award included: Axiom; K&L Gates; Lee International; LNT & Partners; RHTLaw Taylor Wessing; Shanghai Qin Li; Simpson Thacher; Trowers; and ZICOlaw.
Stephen Kitts, Managing Partner of Eversheds Asia, said:
"We are very proud to be named ‘Visionary Firm of the Year’. The need for law firms to find increasingly innovative ways to meet the specific needs of their clients is now more important than ever. Industry accolades like this recognise our ability and our determination to do so as well as our desire to stay ahead of the competition for the benefit of our clients.”
