A Day in the Life of a Center Parcs Conservation Ranger
Category: Gender (Equality & Identity), Social Responsibility (Charity/ Volunteering/Environmentalism)
It's World Wildlife Day! Come and spend a day in the life of Kate Doull, our Senior Conservation Ranger at our Sherwood Forest village.
Kate’s role changes with the seasons. In spring and summer, she is conducting wildlife surveys, such as butterfly transects and bat counts. As the seasons turn, she shifts her focus to habitat management, working closely with the Forestry Team to restore heathlands, maintain wildflower meadows, and care for reedbeds and waterways.
Every day brings new challenges and opportunities, and our rangers embraces them with passion and dedication, helping ensure that biodiversity and care for wildlife stays at the heart of everything we do.
