As part of a series of virtual sessions, this International Transgender Day of Visibility, we wanted to hear from Cass, one of our senior graphic designers, and ally Krystin, Head of Employee Excellence in Capita Resourcing, on what it’s like to be transgender today, and how we can all be more supportive and understanding of their experiences.
As a large organisation, we want to make sure we create an inclusive culture that reflects the diversity around us – of our clients, their customers, our colleagues and the communities we work in. It’s how we’ll continue to invite fresh perspectives into our work, discover innovative ways to positively impact the world around us, and create better outcomes.
As well as the Rainbow Alliance, our LGBTQ+ network, we have a range of employee networks that represent every strand of diversity, to provide a place for people to connect and learn from each other, which anybody can get involved in. These include the Family Network, the Ability Network, Embrace (Race and Ethnicity) and the Multi-Faith Network, the Wellbeing Network and the Gender Equality Network. They're led by our colleagues and supported by our executive committee to educate and to drive change and conversation across the business, as well as to mark important events, from Black History Month to Pride.
