C&I at Pride London 2019
July 6th The Rainbow Network is participating in Pride in London for the second year running.
More than 30 members of C&I Trust took part in Pride celebrations on Saturday.
This year the annual event was marking 50 years since the Stonewall Uprising, which started a series of events that led to the modern Pride movement.
More than a million people took part; there was a colorful parade, live stage performances in Trafalgar Square, and festivities in surrounding streets.
The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, started the parade by walking over a giant rainbow flag. The route began on Portland Street, descending through Oxford Circus, Piccadilly Circus, and Trafalgar Square before winding up in Whitehall.
People showed their support, waving multicoloured flags and dancing in the streets.
