They want to work for organisations that care about their wellbeing in a meaningful way. They want to work for organisations where they can be themselves, where they are treated as an individual.

At Cambridge Assessment we’ve built on more than 150 years of solid foundations and good reputation. We are a not-for profit organisation, based in Cambridge but making a huge difference to over 8 million students around the world.
We are proud of our global position as experts in leading-edge education and assessment. We work with teachers and governments in more than 170 countries and have a global workforce of over 2,500 people.

Competition for the top candidates is fierce but we also need to invest time into attracting a more diverse workforce.
Innovation comes from diversity and the sharing of different ideas. For us, our main priority is wellbeing and we go out of our way to make sure everyone feels welcome and is given the tools and support they need to succeed.
Moving from an existing role into management can throw up many different issues for our staff, so we have put in place a professional development programme to nurture new managers, helping them get the best out of themselves and the people they manage. Good management makes for happy work places.
My favourite part is our staff network groups. They are a great way for me to find out what different groups look for when job searching but they are also a brilliant way for people to meet others across the organisation which they may not usually get to. A lot of people have found these groups a nice way to help them settle into the organisation and make new friends quickly.
Our jobs aren’t just for people from education backgrounds
Yes, we employ a lot of ex-teachers and researchers but we also employ people across a wide spectrum of careers, from data analysts and web designers to global security experts and caterers. And we make their well-being and professional development a priority.
