I, by my own admission was looking through some Facebook and Linkedin posts. I saw one that caught my attention.
It was called "What people see", this was referring to success and the rewards that come with it. What happens sometimes is that they do not see the things that have happened before they reach there.
When someone has decided what they want to do as their career, there is the ground work to do, it's a bit like building a house. Foundations need to be built, so the structure of the building is solid. That’s our education and qualifications we need to get to train for the chosen career.
Digging foundations can take a long time, this I have seen watching a new building being built. The foundations need to be solid in order for the rest of the building to go ahead.
Once the foundations are laid and solid, (experience and qualifications ), it is then time to start building a career. This, like a house takes time brick by brick and then the internal fittings and interior design this made me think of confidence and finding the right job.
Experience will develop as does the house and it grows into something that you love and that includes the job.
With experience may come success, to the point that an individual may want to branch out on their own.
This can take quite a bit of courage and determination to achieve the end product.
In building a career, as in building a house, it takes time and dedication. The mistakes that are made along the way, are giving an individual both experience and practice in achieving a sound and solid structure for a well built career for the future.
