BT shortlisted for four ITP Awards

The finalists have been announced for the Institute of Telecommunications Professionals (ITP) Annual Awards with BT being shortlisted for many of the awards. The awards, which will be announced on 7th December at the Raddisson Blu Portman Hotel in London, recognise those providing a valuable contribution to the industry.

Ann Potterton, CEO at the ITP has commented, “As ever, the calibre of entrants was extremely high and the judges faced a tough decision in narrowing down the finalists. We would like to congratulate all of the finalists, and are now looking forward to celebrating their achievements in December.”

BT has seven nominees up for an award, including Sean Norgate for the Christopher Mills award and Nick Smith for the ITP Mentor of the Year award. Plus three of their apprentices, Jessica Ashton, Matt Gobey and Ben Bruin, have been nominated for ITP Apprentice of the Year.

BT also has two nominees for the Chris Seymour Women in Telecoms Award, Sue Gill and Maria Pecorari. The Chris Seymour Award for Women in Telecoms recognises the outstanding contribution that women have made to the telecoms industry. Nominees are judged for their technical or business leadership skills, their achievements and long-term excellence.
