Brit Insurance has successfully partnered with GT Scholars, a social enterprise that works with leading employers to introduce careers to young people, and offer online work experience that's challenging, fun and engaging. 

Brit Insurance has been partnering with GT Scholars since 2021 with the goal of removing the barriers faced by young people when it comes to accessing career opportunities.

“There are many companies like us that want to attract talented and diverse young people. Our partnership with GT Scholars allows us to interact with ages ranging from pre-teen to school leaver. And with our GT Scholars x Brit Insurance Digital Challenge running online, it couldn't be more accessible.”

Indeed, 795 young people took part in the Digital Challenge this year, of whom 21 semi-finalists were chosen to attend a Career Day at Brit. While here, they took part in various workshops, eventually collaborating in teams to put together and present an idea to our executives. 

The GT Scholars x Brit Insurance Digital Challenge offers a form of online work experience that introduces young people to a variety of careers in a way that is both fun and engaging. They're a great way for a company to reach more young people, to connect them to their brand and to build early relationships with future talent.

21 semi-finalists were chosen to attend a Career Day at Brit. While here, they took part in various workshops, eventually collaborating in teams to put together and present an idea to our executives.

The digital challenges are beneficial to all the stakeholders involved. Brit Insurance benefits from connecting with and attracting diverse new talent. Meanwhile, schools that may be under-resourced are able to offer interesting, engaging, and innovative online work experience programmes, so helping them level up with more affluent schools. Furthermore, young people from a wide range of backgrounds are empowered to build their skills, increase their confidence and discover careers that they may never have known were available to them.

Brit Insurance has been focused on making a long-term change in this area as our existing diversity and outreach programmes and initiatives attest.
