International Women’s Day takes place on Thursday 8 March and is a global event celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The theme for 2018 is #PressforProgress and to mark this year’s event, the BBC is running a series of staff events including ‘Own It’ career coaching workshops and 1 to 1 mentoring sessions across eight of its sites during Monday 5th to Thursday 8th March 2018.
