It was great to host HM Treasury and Women in Finance Charter signatories at our London office for a ‘State of the Nation’ event on gender parity in financial services.
Joining our Group CEO, Amanda Blanc was Baroness Joanna Penn from HM Treasury, along with a host of Accountable Executives and delegates
One of the key themes was the importance of developing the pipeline of talent – from making careers attractive to girls all the way up to executive succession planning.
Aviva Group CEO, Amanda Blanc, said in her opening remarks: “The status quo is unsustainable – we cannot, as a society, tackle all the issues emerging from a rapidly evolving world relying on only 50% of the talent available. So whether you are in big business or small, what you do on gender equality matters. How you populate your leadership team matters. And how you create a pipeline of female talent in your organisation, regardless of its size, matters.”
